Vido Rhodes is General Manager for Lone Star Productions,
Production Manager for Lone Star Ballet and Lone Star Dance Academy, which includes the Season of Dance, all educational and entertaining outreach performances, and all Academy productions.
Rhodes has been active behind the scenes for the last nine years involved in the designing of a particular shows, building sets and props, working with the lighting director to get the “right effect,” and researching and obtaining sets and backdrops. He works in conjunction with individual choreographers and visiting performing companies to set the stage to reflect their artistic vision. His theatre venues include the Civic Center Theatre, The Globe News Center for the Performing Arts and the stage at Sam Houston Park for the Summer Intensive’s “Performance in the Park” series. His influence is most recently seen in DRACULA ,RAINFOREST, LONESTAR TRILOGY ,ACADEMY UNLEASHED, the academy performances, TIMESTEPS; ROCK OF THE AGES, THE NUTCRACKER, GISELLE, CINDERELLA, and ODYSSEY – the opening production of the Globe News Center for the Performing Arts.
