Lone Star Ballet and Lone Star Dance Academy keep a healthy and fun schedule of extracurricular opportunities for our dancers. The majority of our events are optional for dancers and their families.

1. Nutcracker Workshop: dancers from all over the panhandle are invited to participate in this workshop preparing for the audition process of the annual production of The Nutcracker.
2. Nutcracker Auditions: dancers from Lone Star Dance Academy and across the panhandle are invited to audition for The Nutcracker.
3. Ballet BOO!: costumed students of LSDA tour the decorated halls of the Academy in Amarillo and Trick-or-Treat among their friends and instructors.
4. Nutcracker Ball: this family oriented annual event features food, fun, dancing, photography, a sales booth, silent auction and a children's play area. Held one a year as the primary fund raiser for Lone Star Ballet, it also highlights the Ushers and Usherettes for the LSB Season of Dance.
5. Summer Intensive: aside from the three weeks of intense training, the dancers enjoy a pool party, trip to the Wonderland Amusement Park and to Palo Duro Canyon to experience TEXAS, the musical drama.
6. ENCORE!: educational outreach performances are provided across the panhandle for elementary schools and non-profit organizations.
7. Circle of Excellence Fund-raiser: this annual party generates the Circle of Excellence level of patronage proudly supporting the programs and scholarships of Lone Star Ballet.
8. Mall Performances: members of our day care facilities and Lone Star Ballet dancers perform at Center Court of Westgate Mall featuring the young dancers and upcoming productions of Lone Star Ballet.
9. Parades: dancers from all Lone Star Dance Academies participate in parades across the panhandle encouraging others to join in LSDA programming.
10. Summer Park Parties: outdoor activities are provided each summer for students in the Borger, Dumas, Hereford, Panhandle and Plainview Academies.
11. VIPress Luncheon: this annual gathering brings together the best of our local media for a preview of the upcoming Season of Dance and special events for Lone Star Ballet.
12. The Nutcracker Express: residents of Plainview travel by charter bus to Amarillo to enjoy dinner, pre-show shopping, backstage tours and an evening at The Nutcracker.
