Welcome to Lone Star Ballet's 33rd Season of Dance! The Amarillo community and surrounding area is fortunate to be blessed with elite arts organizations including the Lone Star Ballet, Amarillo Symphony Orchestra, Amarillo Opera, Amarillo Little Theatre, Texas Panhandle Heritage Foundation, and much more. We are proud to be part of this community and invite you to be a part of our Season.
Founded in 1975, the Lone Star Ballet continues to present exciting Seasons of Dance each year to the Panhandle area and this one is no exception. From the magnificence of Aspen Santa Fe Ballet's Music in Motion, the vibrant story of Inland Pacific Ballet's The Little Mermaid, and the pulsating beat of TimeSteps; Rock of the Ages, we use diversity and art to reach the full spectrum of patrons, truly proving that LSB is a "Must See!"
Our annual production of The Nutcracker in itself is a jewel in the Crown of Texas. More than 15,000 guests enjoy the performance in one weekend each year. And thanks to our community we successfully launched a brand NEW Nutcracker in 2007! This production was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our guests. It was amazing! If you missed it, you must come see us this year! It will be every bit as exciting. We encourage you to be a partner with Lone Star Ballet in our magnificent Season and our potential for the future. We are accomplishing some amazing things.
We are excited to announce a story on our NEW Nutcracker from 2007 in the November issue of Southern Living magazine. In the special Texas People and Places BONUS Section, we were featured in the folowing article:
