Classes

Lone Star Dance Academy classes are developmentally age appropriate and build over a time in a progressive way. The curriculum is performance based and emphasizes a strong classical technique in all disciplines of dance and a flow of movement that expresses a sense of energy, freedom and joy. This training allows the dancer the ability to adapt to a variety of repertoire in different styles by choreographers, past and present.

Lone Star Dance Academy is a dually-structured learning environment. We encourage dancers from all ages, levels and disciplines. You are welcome to instruction whether you are a first-time dancer or an experienced enthusiast. We offer a recreational program that welcomes everyone and a higher-level and concentrated program for the serious student.

Students progress through levels at their own pace. It is not uncommon to spend more than one year in a level. This structured training sequence is designed to increase students’ technical skills in accordance with their physical development. No experience is needed for most classes. Please contact the main office for information on company classes as they are Director Placement only classes. Some classes not offered in all locations. Check the class schedule nearest you.
