Teaching Ballet, Jazz, and Hip Hop at the Dumas Academy.

Marissa has been dancing since the age of six.  She began assistant teaching at age ten, and at age 16 taught gymnastics, cheerleading, and was a substitute dance instructor for Amarillo College. 

 

While attending WTAMU she was an instructor for their children’s academy and summer camp in hip hop, jazz, ballet and tap.  She danced with the WT dance team and competed with WTAMU in Italy winning 1st place in their division and 2nd overall in the competition before graduating with a degree in dance. 

 

Marissa has worked with such artist as Mia Cunningham, Adrienne Clancy, Wayland  Anderson, The Kannon Dance Co. (St. Petersburg, Russia) and preformed in “The Waiting Room” choreography by Salvotore Aillo, “Rock”n Down in Texas” music video by Windy City, “The Nutcracker” and “Coppelia” for LSB.  She has trained with not only local instructors, but with Joe Tremaine, Doug Caldwell and Wade Robson. She is accomplished in modern, ballet, contemporary, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop and swing.
